NOLA

OKAY, how could I forget to share my love of NOLA with you all, on Fat Tuesday?!

Better late than never, right?

I often think about NOLA & how much I would like to return to this city.  The culture is a.m.a.z.i.n.g! The jazz, the architecture, the food! I could do without the extreme humidity & gross city smells! Maybe my next visit shouldn't be in the heat of summer...

Here are some pictures that I took on my visit in August of 2005 [holy long time ago...]. We drove from Houston over to New Orleans for a long weekend of sightseeing, food eating & drinking (of course).

We left New Orleans just one day before Hurricane Katrina hit, too.
It's eerie just thinking about it still.

 How gorgeous is this place!?
Happy Tuesday, everyone!

  1. what gorgeous photos! I can't believe how eerie it is that you were there the day before Katrina! I now officially know someone who went to NOLA the day before Katrina...I knew someone who has photos from the top of the World Trade Center on 9/10/01. No jokes! Have a great Wednesday! xoxo {av}
