My first time in VooDoo
Okay, I'm pretty embarrassed to admit that I'm a native Oregonian, yet I had never step foot into VooDoo Doughnuts, until last night. I've had them before (see the pink truck in this post), but never made it in to the actual shop, because the line is always wrapped around the building & I refuse to wait that long. Well, last night I finally made it in & we bought a dozen strange doughnuts. I do think they live up to the hype; so far they've been nothing short of extremely delicious :)
Have you ever been to VooDoo?
SOOO Jealous of your trip to voodoo! what took you so long :) i LOVE the coccoa puff chocolate donut and the capt'n crunch with berries donut. getting hungry just thinking about them! xo
ReplyDeleteCapt Crunch Berries, hands down best donut I've EVER had. I lived in Portland about 7 years ago before all the Travel Channel shows made VooDoo so popular and it used to be our 2:30am after bars we need food joint. I would NEVER wait in the line that I always see there now, I love that it's popular and getting recognition, but when you want a donut at 2:30 in the morning and you've been drinking all night you can't wait in a line like that!
ReplyDeletevoo doo was one of your first photo swap posts! i remember! glad you finally had the chance to go inside.
ReplyDeleteHappy VooDoo! So good. I have been once (when I was just out of high school, so what, 8 years ago?) and had the fruit loops donut...SO GOOD!
ReplyDeleteok... all I can say is WOW! I have never seen a place like that before - wow!
ReplyDeleteEverything looks so bright and yummy!

ReplyDeletenever have but those look delicious!!
ReplyDeleteYes!!! I'm a fan of the classic Voodoo doll, but also loooove the Memphis Mafia and Maple Bacon (and a cup of Stumptown, of course!) I haven't been in so long! It was always a tradition to go after seeing a show at Berbati's there on the corner!
ReplyDeleteI can't believe I've never been!! You've inspired me. Going this week :) Have a great weekend!!
